We're Florida fishermen — the kind who are on the water before the sun's even fully committed to showing up. We chase fish, chase sunsets, and apparently, we chase ways to keep our gear from turning into a pile of rust and regret.
Because here's the thing about salt — it's everywhere down here, and it does not play nice. It gets into your rods, your reels, your motor, your tackle, your pride. One season you've got a beautiful setup. The next? You're having a very sad conversation with a corroded piece of equipment that used to be your favorite rod.
We've been there. More than once.
So between fishing trips, a little too much sun, and maybe a cold one or two, we asked ourselves — why isn't there a simple, clean, actually-works solution for this?
Turns out there wasn't one. So we built it.
Salty Dog Marine Care was born right here in Florida, out of firsthand frustration and a whole lot of time on the water. We made something phosphate-free, easy to use, and tough on salt — because your gear works hard out there, and it deserves better than a slow, salty death.
