Drop the Pod
Toss one pod into a 1-gallon bucket or foam cannon reservoir. The PVA capsule dissolves on contact with water.
Step 02
Apply Generously
Spray or wipe the foamy mix across hull, outboard, trailer, rod, or wheel well. Let it dwell 30 seconds.
Step 03
Wipe or Rinse
Microfiber wipe for hand-detail shine, or fresh-water rinse for a quick deck-down. Safe at the marina.

What surfaces is Salty Dog designed for?
Salty Dog is designed for use on common marine surfaces including gelcoat, aluminum, stainless, glass, canvas, vinyl, painted and clear-coated finishes, chrome, anodized hardware, and rubber. Avoid raw, untreated wood and patinated copper. As with any cleaner, we recommend testing on an inconspicuous area first.
How is this different from a regular boat soap?
A regular boat soap is one cleaner in one bottle. Salty Dog combines three formulas in one pod — a salt-cutting surfactant, an oxidation-cleaning formula, and a mineral-dissolving chelator — so you get hull soap, salt remover, and stainless cleaner in a single pod.
Is the formula phosphate-free?
Yes. The pod film is water-soluble PVA, the formula is phosphate-free, and it uses plant-derived surfactants, citrus-based cleaning agents, and enzyme-powered cleaning technology designed to rinse clean after use. Salty Dog was formulated to deliver powerful marine cleaning while reducing reliance on harsh traditional cleaning chemicals.
Can I use a Salty Dog pod in a foam cannon or pressure washer?
Yes — drop one pod directly into a foam cannon reservoir, pump sprayer, or 5-gallon bucket. The pod dissolves quickly in water before use. Do not use in closed pressure-washer chemical injectors designed for liquid concentrates only.
How long does a 20-count bag last?
Most owners of a 22–36 ft boat use 1 pod per full wash. For the average weekend boater, a 20-count bag typically provides an entire season of cleaning — about 4–5 months of regular washes.
Will it strip wax, sealant, or ceramic coating?
No. Salty Dog is wax-safe and designed for use on ceramic-coated surfaces at the recommended dilution ratio. Use the standard 1-pod-per-gallon mix and do not over-concentrate.
